Charges

Area 1 : Face-to-Face tuition slot of 1 hour = £60 + £15 for each additional tutee (Maximum of 3 additional tutees)

Area 2 : Face-to-Face tuition slot of 1 hour = £80 + £15 for each additional tutee (Maximum of 3 additional tutees)

Geographical limits.   The 'circles' above show approximate representations of the areas covered, with the places named being the extremities (and included) in the relevant area.

Terms and Conditions

Face-to-Face tutorials  are currently being offered (subject to availability) on Sundays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

If there is more than 1 tutee, all tutees must be studying at about the same mathematical level as each other.

Payments must be made, in full, by direct transfer or standing order to Mathodical's business account within 24 hours either side of the tuition slot in £ sterling.

A full 24 hours notice is required by you if you wish to cancel a tutorial. A flat rate of £30 will be chargeable if less than 24 hours notice is given. 

Charges will remain the same for the duration of the current academic year unless severe external factors determine otherwise. An example could be where national fuel prices/insurance rates become so prohibitively high that it makes this method of delivery unsustainable. Another could the imposition of a charge to cross a border within a district. Should such an event occur, reverting to online tutorials may be the answer. 

Mathodical reserves the right not to offer, or continue to offer, tutorials for any reason. This was indeed the case at the start of the pandemic when, sadly, all face-to-face tutorials were immediately cancelled, without exception. 

If the student is under the age of 18:

A responsible adult must also be present in the same building* for the duration of the tutorial and the tutorial is to be performed in an appropriate setting. 

*An outhouse, such as a cabin containing an office, is considered to be a separate building.

Prior to the first tutorial, an email with a PDF attachment will be sent to you, the parent/guardian. It will contain these conditions and forms the contract between us. It is important that you read and understand it. If you agree, sign it and scan it back to:
